Founded in 2018 by Yogesh Shashikant Deshpande, YSD Electricals delivers turnkey electrical and mechanical works for state electricity boards, MJP, Indian Railways, ports and planned cities across Western India.
Who we are
An EPC contractor built around one engineer's standard.
YSD Electricals is a proprietorship founded in 2018 in Thane, Maharashtra by Yogesh Shashikant Deshpande. The business holds a Government of Maharashtra Electrical License and is empanelled with Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP).
Our work covers 33/11 kV substations, HT/LT distribution, railway traction substations, water infrastructure and DG backup — for state utilities, Indian Railways, port operators and planned-city development authorities.
Active projects in Maharashtra, Telangana and Gujarat. Repeat enquiries on adjacent scope confirm the field execution standard.
Our approach

Engineered to specification.
Every design, BOQ and SLD is prepared to government, railway or MJP specification. Deviations are documented and approved before execution.
Tested before handover.
Insulation, HV, earth resistance and primary injection tests are jointly recorded with the client before energization. No verbal handovers.
Backed by certification.
Govt Electrical License, MJP empanelment and as-built records on every project. Tender pre-qualification is straightforward.

11 kV underground cable network commissioned for MSEDCL Latur.
Expansion into railway traction
First Sectioning Post / Sub-Sectioning Post project mobilized.
JNPA and CIDCO entries
33+11 kV panels at JNPA Nhava Sheva and HT/LT works at CIDCO Kharghar.
6.3 MVA PTR — Purandar
Largest power transformer to date energized at Purandar substation.
MJP empanelment renewed to 2028
Certificate 4151 reissued valid through October 2028.

Founder & Proprietor
Yogesh founded YSD Electricals in 2018 after a decade of field work on substation construction and HT cable projects across Western India.
He personally leads design review, pre-commissioning testing and client SAT on every project — a discipline that keeps deviations from specification close to zero.
Under his direction the business has expanded from MSEDCL substation work in Latur to railway traction projects in Telangana and Gujarat, and MJP water infrastructure across Maharashtra.
He holds the Government of Maharashtra Electrical License under which YSD Electricals operates.
